FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why is this year's event different to previous years?

Due to the constantly evolving COVID situation in Queensland, we decided that it wasn't fair on participants if we were required to cancel the full scale event at short notice. By allowing participants to 'Hit the Hill' in their own time and their way, gives the flexibility to participants to take part over the course of a week and still support this much loved event.

When do registrations close?

Registrations will stay open until 11.59pm Saturday, 30 October 2021. All funds raised go directly to our charity partner, Be Kind Townsville.

Will the road on Castle Hill be closed off during the active week?

No. You will be required to abide by the road rules when walking up and down the hill that you normally would when doing the Hill in your own time. Please be aware of where you can park in the area and be mindful of residents.

How do I pay my registration using a credit or debit card?

Registration payments are processed via Paypal, however if you don't have a Paypal account you can pay using a credit or debit card. Select 'Pay With Card' when you get to the Paypal log in screen to process your payment.

Are we required to fundraise?

No, fundraising isn't a requirement, however you are welcome to let people know that you're hitting the hill and send them the Donate Now link!

What happens if I can't Hit the Hill during the active week?

The campaign is designed to allow flexibility for participants to hit the hill when they can. We won't be tracking participants - it will be up to each individual to be responsible for their own participation in the campaign. Your registration fee goes directly to our charity partner, Be Kind Townsville so you know your money is helping a very deserving cause, whether you make it up the hill or not.

Will there be an event on Castle Hill during the campaign?

The Hit team will be broadcasting live from Castle Hill on Saturday, 30 October and we encourage participants to Hit the Hill and come and say hi! We are hoping to have mentally healthy activities for everyone to try on the day.

What is in my merchandise pack and when will I receive it?

The first 250 people registered will receive a Hit the Hill bucket hat and registration pack thanks to our sponsors. We are working with our sponsors on exactly what is included in those packs and we will contact all registrants when they are ready to be collected.
